SAWA-NSW supports Tailoring, English and Computer classes for Women at a Vocational Training Centre in Kala Tak village, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan.

SAWA-NSW also assembles and ships birthing kits for Afghan women so they can have at least minimum standards of hygiene when they give birth thus reducing the mortality rate for both babies and mothers.

Until 2016 SAWA-NSW supported the Hewad High School in Rawalpindi in Pakistan. The school offered free education to Afghan refugees, one of the few schools for Afghan girls that remained open until 2016. in Pakistan. The high school covered years 1-12.
